This year, NIF is two days of workshops and two nights of shows at the Rutgers University-Newark Bradley Hall Theater. Enjoy two nights of shows from ensembles throughout the tristate area (and maybe farther.) Workshops for new improvisers, applied improv, musical improv, and more are all here as we celebrate sharing improv with new and diverse performers and audiences.

From Newark Penn Station you can take the Newark Light Rail (Subway) 2 stops to the Washington St. stop. Head north on Warren St. after exiting the station, and Bradley Hall will be on your left.

CAN MY GROUP PERFORM?
Submissions are now closed for this year's festival. The deadline to apply was February 25th.
HOW DID THIS START?
What started as a workshop for high school students, this festival started when Improv Technicians and the Rutgers/NJIT Theatre Arts Program teamed up with Middlesex County Vocational Technical High School in 2014 to program a night of improv. Year after year, the shows blossomed into what is now a community-driven full-on festival.
